Ben Monder's solo playing is out of this world. His ability to play multiple lines at once, while maintaining line independence and his incredible right hand have all made him the envy of many a guitarist. Check out this video excerpt of his tune "Orbits", to hear the full track check out his album "Flux".

Ok great but how would you tell if he hit
a wrong note? is there a bad note.
Ben has an "eclectic" sound so it's more like playing really "out" classical music than jazz. This is one of his original tunes that was fully composed, no improv.
that was total crap! noodling over ostinato open strings is beginner's stuff...
To the dissenting poster, you didn't even hear the really good stuff in this piece. It's some of the most forward-thinking guitar music written in recent times.
Yeah this guy is gifted great technique but lose with feel as well.
great player
its a solo gtr arrangement of the Wayne Shorter tune Orbits. really amazing stuff. hearing Monder basically made me quit jazz gtr years ago....
Hi does anyone have that jazz-blues song in tab by GW Williams, which I think is called...Acoustic Guitar Rock N Roll Blast Off?
Don't let the name of the song fool you, the song starts off slowly for 20 seconds also, and then explodes into the most amazing acoustic jazz song ever recorded. Ya really got to hear it. I found it online for free. I know it's on itunes and amazon also.
But it's free if you look around a bit.
I sure would love to know how he played that song?
Also I am looking for an old Ovation guitar 1717 Ovation Legend like GW Williams plays.
I think it's a deep bowl Ovation made about 1983 to 1985.
I want to capture the same sound GW Williams has.
It sounds better than my old Martin
